May we return to kindness.

Greetings :)

Wow! A whole month without any updates. To those who care, I really have been tied up with a lot and for that I'm sorry but its GOOD to be back. May is my birthday month so the plan is to just indulge in all things that I love more often than not. Taking some time out to gift myself. :)

I recently heard of a lovely photographer by the name of Harry Callahan and he used his wife as the subject of his images for many years. He died in 1999 and recently she passed on too and the most wonderful images have been released as part as part of Elna Callahan tribute.

I love the femininity in each of the moments, its as if the body is not being exploited but rather celebrated in its most genuine state.

Check it:)

Dusty truths

Greetings :)

I trust you have had a great weekend. Recently I have had the chance to indulge in some wonderful imagery taken by some amazing photographers. Instead of sharing some of those images today, I would like to share something a little different.

Cordaid, (Catholic Organisation of Relief and Development Aid) is a agency focused of development of rural and victimised communities. Their advertising also works to speak greatly to their agenda but also attack our current social standing.

This is one of my favourite advertisments from their 2008 campaign.

and this is another Cordaid public service announcement image that had me.

Something to think about

Amy Scheepers

Greetings :)

Photographer, Amy Schneepers has been getting a great deal of attention based on the quality and life within her imagery. Her distinct style in the images is something I really admire and enjoy.

Here are my favorites
